PM ERP System

Challenge

A major pharmaceutical company had acquired several other pharmaceutical companies. Each company had its own project management software system and methodology for managing clinical trials. The parent company wanted the capability to share resource data to analyze supply/demand requirements for clinical trials throughout the newly combined companies.

Solution

A Pentico consultant assisted in the development and implementation of a project management ERP system. Later, two additional Pentico consultants were brought in to write the user acceptance test scripts for the project management software application and facilitate the user acceptance testing sessions. In preparation for launching the new system, Pentico assisted in writing the training materials, conducted train-the-trainer sessions, and provided post-training support to end users.

Results

As a result of the testing sessions, many errors were discovered in the application as well as in the processes. The identified errors were quickly resolved, and the total system was launched on schedule for end users.
