Challenge

A major international pharmaceutical corporation needed to implement common processes, standards, and terminology across all of its major subsidiaries so that senior executive management could compare all business proposals presented to them in a similar fashion.

Solution

Working with the cross-company team, a Pentico consultant managed the implementation of the initiative and ensured conformance with executive directives. The consultant advised the team where and if it was behind schedule and ensured that the appointed workstreams were implementing their sections of the work according to plan and to a quality standard. The consultant's responsibilities included schedule development, definition of future processes and workflows, process training and workshops, communications, script preparation, and change management.

Results

The change management initiative was completed on time and with an above-average early take-up rate and high satisfaction rating. The new terminology is easily understood and used throughout the organization. Development project teams are now using the terminology in the preparation of business cases to senior executive management.
